In de zomer van 2008 werd in een stoffige studio in Assen de basis gelegd voor een nieuwe band genaamd Wilson Legacy. De naam van de band is een verwijzing naar de erfenis die soullegende Wilson Pickett de wereld schonk. Rauw, opzwepend soms gevoelig maar altijd gespeeld met bezieling…

De band, bestaande uit vier doorgewinterde muzikanten en een “sound and vision” man, sloot zich een aantal dagen in de studio op om de basis te leggen voor een eigen muziekstijl die zich het beste laat omschrijven als Blue-eyed Soul, een mengeling van Soul, Funk, Blues en Pop.

De studio werd afgestoft, de apparatuur aangesloten en er werd vanaf dat moment keihard gewerkt aan de bouw van een fonkelnieuw eigen repertoire. Na maanden van bloed zweet en tranen is Wilson Legacy klaar om de podia te bestormen.

Kwaliteit van de eigen muziek, plezier op het podium en interactie met het publiek zijn de drie peilers waar de band op is gebouwd.

The band members met at jamsessions, where they attracted eachother by the way they smoothly played along their favourite songs and expressed their interest for certain kind of tasty music.
