The Southern Blues Society is a collective of Sicilian musicians who love blues, Country Folk, and 50s/60s rock’n’roll.
Guitars and basses with fat sounds and deep drums will immerse you in the atmosphere of the gritty clubs of that era.
The trio consist of: Manuel Bellone who has his roots in the tradition of folk and American country music, fused with a strong spirit of rock ‘n’ roll; Sandro Pittari, an established Sicilian drummer, historical member of bands such as Don Diego Trio as well a session player for big prominent names from USA and Marcello Castellucci, a Sicilian bassist and highly regarded session player in the Italian rock scene.
With the idea of fusing Manuel’s original songs with Sandro and Marcello’s southern rock sound, the three musicians began their work of arranging and researching the most significant songs for the project, hence the name The Southern Blues Society.
The band will be on tour in Europe from the end of March 2025, covering Italy, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium.
